The Springfield School Board rejects all forms of racism. Racism in any form will not be tolerated in the Springfield School District. The Board believes that the diversity that exists among the district's community of students, staff, parents/guardians, and community members is integral to the district's vision, mission, and goals. The board will prioritize training opportunities and conversations that challenge racist practices and language, address disparities, and support health equity.
The board is committed to listening and learning as we collaborate with the school district community to address issues of racism. We understand that work to eliminate racism is ongoing and we must commit ourselves to this work every day.
We ask our community to take a stand alongside us against racism.
